Information Minister and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah and President of Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) John Todd have discussed the best ways to develop automobile sports in Kuwait and the whole region.
During the meeting, Sheikh Salman stressed that the State of Kuwait pays more attention to all sports, including automobile one, which is highly attracted by KuwaitI youth, said a statement by the ministry here on Saturday.
Sheikh Salman noted that all sports are a gateway to communication among peoples and their cultures, it added.
The meeting was attended by chiefs of the Kuwait International Automobile Club Essa Hamza, the Saudi Motor Federation Prince Sultan bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz and the Bahrain Motor Federation Sheikh Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Todd is on a visit to Kuwait to attend the events of the regional meeting of automobile clubs in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
The meeting started on Friday, while its workshops run until Sunday.
