His Highness Shaikh Sultan bin Hamad Al Khalifa is patronising His Highness’s Golf Championship which kicks-off Saturday on Bahrain Golf Course with participation of golfers from the national team, Bahrain Golf Club and local golf clubs.
The championship includes into 33 groups, three golfers per group. The first group starts at 6:30 a.m. and the last at 11:00 a.m.
The club’s deputy chairman and head of the High Organizing Committee the BDF Chief-of-Staff Lt-General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, affirmed that the championship reflects the keenness and interest of HH Shaikh Sultan bin Hamad on supporting young Bahraini golfers who have assumed the helm of local, Gulf and Arab championships over the previous two decades. He commended HH Shaikh Sultan bin Hamad for his generous support to the sports activities in the Kingdom, especially the Golf game, whereas the golfers have always been keen on presence and participation in the championship competitions that witness thrill, power, concentration and persistence that reflect largely on the success of this championship.
Al Nuaimi pointed out that the potentials have been dedicated by the High Organizing Committee, including ideal preparations to ensure the success of the championship that reflects His Highness’s aspirations. The championship will be listed in the calendar of the club’s events and will be developed in future to include more than one bout.
On behalf of Club President Shaikh Abdullah bin Salman Al Khalifa, Al Nuaimi extended his gratitude to HH Shaikh Sultan bin Hamad and board of directors, golfers for their generous support to the Bahrain Golf Club.
