Qatar Fencing team kept their dazzling performance in the prestigious third GCC Fencing Championship 2014 to win additional five medals in the closing scene held on Saturday. Qatar women Epee team confidently won the gold medal on Saturday, ahead of hosts United Arab Emirates who seized the silver medal , while the bronze medal went to Bahraini. Qatar’s men fencing team displayed widely-praised performance to clinch the gold medal in the Sabre weapon, as Kuwaitis managed in the second place and UAE finished third. On the same track of victory, Qatar’s men team won the silver medal in the Foil weapon , behind Kuwait who claimed the gold medal , while UAE and KSA shared the third place. Likewise, qatar women team won the silver medal in the Foil weapon, Kuwait clinched the gold medal , while the bronze went to Bahrain and UAE. In the Epee weapon ( men), Qatar won the bronze medal, Kuwait clinched the gold medal as KSA took the silver medal. The total medals tally of Qatar in this prestigious championship reached 41 medals.
