The Emirates Aerosports Federation (EAF) has received the flag of the World Air Sports Federation (FAI) as part of preparations for the 2015 edition of the FAI World Air Games which will be hosted by U.A.E. in Dubai in 2015.
FAI's flag was presented to Youssef Al Hammadi, Deputy President of EAF, by two FAI representatives who visited U.A.E. to inspect the venues of the 4th edition of the event, the only world competition that brings together the various different air sports.
The multi-discipline event which will take place over a period of 12 days in December 2015 will present a combination of elite competition and spectacular demonstrations including powered and glider aerobatics, aeromodelling, amateur-built and experimental aircraft, ballooning, gyrocopters, hang gliding, helicopters, microlights, paramotors, and parachuting.
The past editions of FAI's premier international air sports event took place in Turkey (1997), Spain (2001) and Italy (2009).
