Algeria topped Group B in qualifications for the African Cup of Nations 2015 after beating Mali (1-0), halftime (0-0), on Wednesday night at Mustapha Tchaker Blida stadium.
The only goal of the game was scored by Medjani in the 82nd minute.
After this victory, Algeria leads the rankings with 6 points ahead of Mali and Malawi which won against Ethiopia (3-2).
Regarding the third day of the qualifiers, scheduled on 10 and 11 October, the Algerian team will play against Malawi at Kamuzu Stadium, situated in Lilongwe, while Mali will face Ethiopia.
