The French region of Normandy will tomorrow host the World Championship. The global sporting event has attracted contenders from 47 countries from all over the world to vie for the trophy.
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa will lead Bahrain Royal Endurance in the five-stage race which will cover 160 kilometres.
The team will also include Shaikh Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, Raed Mahmoud, Jaffer Mirza and Isa Al-Hazaa.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa led the last training of the team on the eve of the race which is scheduled to start early tomorrow morning.
In statement today, he stressed Bahrain’s keenness on participating in the Normandy World Endurance Championship and honour the standing of the Kingdom among other competing nations.
He commended the efforts of the technical and administrative staff as well as the riders who took part in a string of championships in summer and achieved good results.
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa met Dubai Crown Prince Shaikh Hemdan bin Mohammed Al-Maktoum and discussed issues relating top the race, scheduled to be held tomorrow.
