Bahrain national football team has played its Iraqi counterpart in the 23rd Arabian Gulf Cup (Khaleeji23) tournament opening match with one goal each.
The first game of the clash held Saturday at Kuwait Sport Club stadium was average and the two teams were conservative in their movements, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
Bahraini footballer Jamal Rashed opened the score in the 34 minute of the second half. But the Iraqis did not quit and succeeded in equalizing the score sheet via Muhannad Karrar's header in the 42nd minute, KUNA reported.
