GS Petroliers defeated ES Ain Touta (37-32) in the final of Algeria Men’s Handball Cup (seniors) in a match where the Petroliers’ experience made the difference.
“I was expecting a difficult match as we are in the beginning of the season with only four matches. We suffered from the absence of several of our members against a good team of Ain Touta. But at the end we won and that’s the most important,” GSP’s coach Reda Zeghili told APS.
For his part, ES Ain Touta’s coach Tarik Hassani expressed his pride in the achievement of his young team which played against “a national team,” according to him.
“We remained focused till the end. GSP proved their reputation as a team of titles,” said GSP’s goalkeeper Abdelmalek Selahdji.
