Team Abu Dhabi is taking part in in the fourth round of the UIM X-cat World Championships, being held in the city of Gold Coast in Australia this weekend.
The mission team arrived yesterday and the administrative and technical staff of the team started their work on preparing Abu Dhabi boat number 5 for the meeting which kicks off on Saturday with the main race on Sunday.
Salem Al Rumaithi, head of the Abu Dhabi mission, says that the team will work today to monitor the boat and set it up as tomorrow is a free practice day, as he emphasised the importance of free trials in order to give the team the best knowledge of the race track.
In the last round in Portugal, Abu Dhabi 5 took the lead before falling to second place due to a fault, and it currently ranks 91 points behind leaders, XDubai.
