Attack on Zamalek Club
Cairo - Arab Today

Eight rioters were arrested Tuesday over attempting to attack the headquarters of Zamalek Club in Giza's Meet Oqba district, a security source said.

Limited clashes erupted between fans of Ahly and Zamalek football teams outside the headquarters of Zamalek Club in Meet Oqba, the source added.

A number of Zamalek fans tried to attack the buildings of the club.

Security forces intervened and arrested eight of them, the source said.

Earlier, Ahly defeated Zamalek 2-0 in a football game that was held in Alexandria, putting Zamalek's celebrations of winning Premier League's title on hold until achieving at least a draw in one of two coming matches.
