Paris - Arabstoday

Olivier Giroud's hat-trick helped Montpellier come from behind to beat Dijon 5-3 in a thrilling spectacle at Stade de la Mosson, and claim a three-way share of the Ligue 1 lead. The visitors looked to be cruising thanks to two early goals from Benjamin Corgnet, but an own goal from Steven Paulle, Giroud's treble plus one more from Souleymane Camara turned things around in style for Montpellier. Thomas Guerbert grabbed another goal for Dijon in the final minute but the damage had been done, with Montpellier joining Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon on 20 points at the top of the standings. PSG play Ajaccio tomorrow while Lyon were comfortable 3-1 winners over bottom side Nancy at Stade Gerland. Michel Bastos scored their first and third goals, with a free-kick and a penalty respectively, and Bafetimbi Gomis scored his seventh of the campaign as Les Gones hit all their goals in a five-minute burst between the 26th and 31st minutes. Jung Jo-Gook grabbed a late consolation for Nancy, who are still looking for their first league win after ten attempts. Lille keep run going Lille came from behind to continue their unbeaten run with a 3-1 away win over Auxerre. The hosts' run of eight games without a loss ended at the Stade l'Abbe-Deschamps as Lille moved fourth in the league thanks to second-half goals from Dimitri Payet, Ireneusz Jelen and Mathieu Debuchy, after Dennis Oliech had put Auxerre in front ten minutes before the break. Marseille's stuttering start to the season continued as they were held to a goalless draw by Toulouse at the Stade Municipal. Both sides ended the game with ten men as Charles Kabore saw red for the visitors in the 58th minute and Etienne Capoue was dismissed for the hosts late on, both for second bookable offences. Saint-Etienne ended a seven-match winless streak with a 2-1 victory over local rivals Evian. All three goals came in a 14-minute spell at the start of the second half, with Laurent Batlles and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang putting Saint-Etienne 2-0 ahead before Yannick Sagbo netted what would prove to only be a consolation for promoted Evian. Brest denied again Brest continue to search for their first win after being held 1-1 at home by Caen, their eighth draw in ten matches. The hosts went ahead before the interval through Bruno Grougi, but Thomas Heaurtaux levelled six minutes from time to once more deny Brest a three-point haul. In the day's other match, Bordeaux suffered more disappointment as they crashed to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of fellow strugglers Nice. First-half goals from Eric Mouloungui and David Hellebuyck set the home side on their way and Francois Clerc added a third after the break to earn Nice only their second win of the campaign. Bordeaux are now fourth-bottom with only one win and eight points from ten games.
