Eerste Divisie side Den Bosch sprang a big surprise in the third round of the KNVB Beker tonight, beating top-flight leaders FC Twente 2-1 at De Grolsch Veste. Denny Landzaat's 17th-minute penalty gave Twente the edge, but the dismissal of Dedryck Boyata seven minutes later proved their downfall. Joey Brock levelled things up after 38 minutes and Tom van Weert then gave Den Bosch the lead after 62 minutes. A miserable evening for the home side was capped when they were reduced to nine men with a last-minute red card for Luc Castaignos. AZ Alkmaar eased through to the fourth round with a 4-1 win at amateur side SWZ/Boso Sneek. Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Jozy Altidore scored two each for AZ, with the home side's reply coming from Erolind Derguti. Feyenoord also beat amateur opposition with a 4-0 rout of Rotterdam rivals XerxesDZB. The Eredivisie side had to wait an hour to take the lead through an Anthony Bentem own goal before strikes from Terence Kongolo, Ruud Vormer and Lex Immers (penalty) gave the scoreline a one-sided look. Ramon Zomer scored the only goal as Heerenveen edged out third-tier Hollandia 1-0. From FIFA
