The World Economic Forum Tunis- Nébil Zaghdoud Reda Saidi, the minister of economic affairs in the Tunisian government announced that Tunisia will host the next DavosWorld Economic Forum in December. Saidi said during a press conference, held Thursday after consultations between the Government of Tunisia and the supervisors of the Davos World Economic Forum, that it was agreed to hold this conference in December 2012 He added: "We have received a request from the supervisors of this global forum a month ago. The Istanbul Conference, which was held from 4 to 6 June, represented an opportunity for further consultation and an agreement on the organisation of this Forum was signed". He continued: "Consultations are continuing on the programme of the Forum which will host the most important businessmen, investors and economic decision makers in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as countries that participated in the last Istanbul Conference". Minister of economic affairs announced that the chairman of the Davos Forum, Klaus Schwab, promised to invite leading businessmen from the Middle East and North America. He expressed his hope that this occasion is an important opportunity to discuss investment and creation of wealth in Tunisia. Saidi stressed that the conference "would be appropriate for marketing Tunisia as a tourist or investment destination and would open new horizons for Tunisia". Reza Saidi, said that Tunisia's participation in the Davos Forum in Istanbul was limited to meetings without signing agreements, noting that Tunisia will benefit from the Turkish experience that have been presented at the forum, especially as it has achieved a growth of 7 percent and contributed to the reduction of the rate of inflation from 80 percent 10 years ago, to 8 percent at the moment. The Turkish government, has decided to give Tunisia a grant of 100 million dollars, about 150 million dinars, in the in addition to a loan of 400 million dollars.
