Algerian economic expert Farahat Ayet Ali said that the current economic situation in the country is deteriorating, blaming the government for not finding alternative solutions to resolve the economic problems. He added that the government has no vision to deal with the crisis, leading to its aggravation.

He rebuked, in an interview with “Arabs Today”, that the political parties have not performed any role to resolve the current crises witnessed in the country, describing them as partisan shops that did not perform any role in the current economic and social crises witnessed in the country. He added that the political parties have no alternatives to cover the failure of the Algerian government.

He added that the government should work to attract more foreign investments during the coming period, saying that the recent laws issued by the Algerian government have not done this job. He added that such laws do not support the investments, while they pose more challenges before the foreign investors and prevent them from entering the Algerian market.

In the same context, the partnership between Algeria and European Union has not achieved any progress, saying that the government failed to use the diplomatic progress in the relations with the European countries years after isolation. He added that the Europeans refuse to establish productive projects in Algeria to keep their position as the major exporter of commodities to the North African country.

He stressed that the Algerian government should perform its role to revive the local production whether through the public or private sector, saying that increasing production is the only way to resolve the current economic crisis
