No option but defeating extremists to maintain peace

Egypt's Grand Mufti Shawky Allam said on Saturday the world has no option but to win its battle with extremists who believe in terrorism as a mean to achieve their targets.
"We are engaged in an intellectual war against terrorism," the mufti said.
Egypt's Dar Al-Ifta has established an observatory to monitor Takfiri and anomalous views promoted by terrorist groups and to set plans for confrontation, he said.
Allam urged international community for more cooperation to cut these groups' funding resources.
