Israeli occupation forces carried out over the last month 112 assaults against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Al Haram Al Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron , apart from incidents of burning mosques, the latest of which involved setting fire to the Al Moghayer Mosque, north of the West Bank city of Ramallah.
The Palestinian Awqaf Minister, Yousef Edais, said Tuesday in a statement that the occupation forces are trying to convey that no one exercises control on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and that Muslims have no right to it.
Edais added that Israel has no peace agendas, and therefore its forces keep violating and controlling lands, besieging the Al-Aqsa Mosque under unjustified reasons, changing the city's landmarks and its Islamic Arab names, carrying out excavations beneath the Al-Aqsa Mosque as well as committing violations against the people.
He also indicated that the Awqaf Ministry is following with deep concern the violations happening at the places of worship, developments that are completely inconsistent with divine principles apart from being in contravention of the internationals laws.
