All antiquities displayed at Arish National Museum, north Sinai, have not been affected by the recent militant attacks that killed and wounded some 80 people, Minister of Antiquities Dr. Mamduh Damaty confirmed Sunday.
All antiquities are safe and in good condition, Damaty said in a statement, because they were kept in stores for a long time now to guarantee their safety.
He said Arish National Meseum was under the protection of armed forces.
Damaty said the museum's doors, windows and some of the empty displays were damaged by the "terrorist" attack that killed 30 people and injured around 50 others.
