UAE Pavilion at Milan Expo 2015
Milan - Arab Today

In just one week after its opening, the UAE pavilion at Milan Expo 2015 continued to draw huge crowds as 25,640 visitors from Italy and abroad toured the pavilion to get an insight into the UAE's rich culture, heritage and development model associated with the Expo's central theme: 'Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life', latest figures released by the National Media Council (NMC), which is organising the pavilion, showed.

The NMC put the daily average of footfall at 3,000 visitors.

Long queues of visitors defied cold and rainy weather and waited for almost 40 minutes to enter the pavilion to watch the cinematic and theatrical presentations in the form of mini-feature Family Tree, other impressive contents and to find out more about plans for Dubai Expo 2020.

Expo Milano 2015 is the Universal Exhibition that Milan, Italy, will host from May 1 to October 31, 2015. Over this six-month period, Milan will become a global showcase where more than 140 participating countries will show the best of their technology that offers a concrete answer to a vital need: being able to guarantee healthy, safe and sufficient food for everyone, while respecting the Planet and its equilibrium. In addition to the exhibitor nations, the Expo also involves international organizations, and expects to welcome over 20 million visitors to its 1.1 million square metres of exhibition area.
