Egyptian actor Salah el-Saadani Cairo - Taha Hafez Egyptian actor Salah el-Saadani will feature in a leading role in a TV series titled "Sharq el-Nakhil" [The East of Palm Trees], based on a novel bearing the same title written by the Egyptian author Bahaa Taher. The series is planned to air during next year's Ramadan season. Speaking to Arabstoday, el-Saadani said he is too enthusiastic about working in this series, as series based on novels usually gaining success. He sais he was a fan of this novel in particular. "When done in the right way, the success of the drama works based on novels is always guaranteed. I aim to bring more novels back to the screen in the future as this kind of work was missing recently in Egypt and I'm inspired in that regard by the success of my latest series "al-Ikhwa al-Aadaa" (The Enemy Brothers), based on the Russian novel (The Brothers Kramazov) written by the acclaimed author Fyodor Dostoyevsky." The Enemy Brothers' cast includes Ahmed Rizk, Yasser Galal, Fathi Abdelwahab, Randa Bheri, Afaf Shoeb, Likaa Khamissi, Hagag Abdelazim. The series was directed by Mohammed Nokali.
