'Flashes of thought' cover Dubai - Arab Today 'Flashes of Thought' - a diverse collection of personal reflections by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai - has topped the best-seller books for 2013. According to a report which will be published by 'Al Bayan' newspaper tomorrow, 'Flashes of Thought' - inspired by the first Government Summit held in Dubai in 2013 - was voted the most popular book of the year for the thought provoking experiences and motivational tips offered by Sheikh Mohammed. President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan wrote in the book's foreword: "I say to my young sons, brothers, government officials: this book in your hands affords a chance for you to learn from a seasoned successful Arab leader with a rich experience." Flashes of Thought expounds Sheikh Mohammed's ideas about leadership and governance and covers a wide range of topics, from common themes such as positive thinking and creativity to more critical subjects such as his vision for the UAE, the story behind Burj Khalifa, the Number 1, family tourism, cabinet reshuffling, government performance, women empowerment, Arab spring and investment in the UAE. The book was translated into English. Sheikh Mohammed also ordered the translation of the book into Braille Language and distributing it to all the blind people centers in the country. Source: WAM
