The United Arab Emirates, UAE, has strongly condemned the shooting attack on police patrols that had left a number of Jordanian security officers martyred and others wounded in the Jordanian city of Karak today.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, reiterated the UAE's firm stance of rejecting of all forms and manifestations of terrorism as well as its call for stronger joint action and international co-operation and efforts to eliminate terrorist organisations threatening global security and stability.
The Ministry expressed the solidarity of the UAE with Jordan against these treacherous terrorist acts, regardless of their motives or sources, that seek to kill innocent people, destroy countries, damage peace and security in the Arab World and the entire world.
The Ministry extended sincere condolences and sympathies to the families and relatives of the martyrs and the people and government of Jordan, and wished for speedy recovery for those injured in the terrorist act.
