Muscat - Arab Today

Omani Foreign Ministry condemned on Sunday the terrorist attack that targeted a military checkpoint in North Sinai.

In a press release, the ministry asserted its support for the Egyptian government and people in confronting those who threaten Egypt’s security and stability.

It also reiterated its condemnation of all sorts of violence and terrorism.

The ministry offered its condolences to the families of the victims and hoped speedy recovery to the injured.

Earlier, 12 servicemen were killed and six others injured when an armed group attacked a military checkpoint in North Sinai.
