The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC, has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in southern Manhattan, New York City, on Tuesday, killing eight people and wounding many others.
Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, the OIC Secretary-General, expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, the American people and US government, wishing speedy recovery of the injured.
According to a statement of the OIC, he also expressed his deep regret at the occurrence of such criminal and terrorist acts targeting innocent civilians and reiterated the OIC firm stance against all forms of violence and terrorism.
Al-Othaimeen stressed that terrorism has no religion, country or race, which requires concerted regional and international efforts to combat it in all its forms and manifestations.
