Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Thursday cabled Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulazizو expressing condolences and solace over victims of the fire that erupted at a public hospital in southwestern Saudi city Jazan, leaving scores of people dead and injured, KUNA reported.
In the cable to King Salman, Emir prayed to His Almighty Allah to bestow his mercy upon souls of the martyrs of this horrific accident and wished the injured quick recovery. He also wished that the Kingdom may be safeguarded against any bad occurrences.
The Deputy Emir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah also addressed cables of condolences to the Saudi King Salman, expressing identical sentiments of sorrow over demise of the hospital occupants.
The fire broke out at 2:00 a.m. today on the first floor of Jazan hospital that houses the intensive care department and nursery and maternity ward.
Reason behind the fire has not been immediately known.
