Following its success and achievements in community service and awareness over six years, Information City, under the patronage of its Chairman and Founder, Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, has crowned the achievements of the "Educate a Child, Build a Nation" initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum highlighted the progress and successful achievements made over the past years. He said, "Six years ago, we established the 'Educate a Child, Build a Nation' initiative, to improve the level of technical education for children and to form a cornerstone that links education to productivity. We have achieved tremendous successes during that period, as we increased children's awareness of the importance of technical education and opening new horizons for them. We also helped them to continue their journey confidently, within the local and global communities."
He added, "This initiative has won the praise of senior officials and supervisors from the Ministry of Education, Knowledge and Human Development Authority, governmental and semi-governmental bodies, charities and sponsors, and the confidence of all local and international partners and supporters who have emphasised the importance of linking education to good economic performance in the future of Dubai. I promise you that our initiatives will not end, and we will continue our journey for the benefit and welfare of the community in general."
The closing ceremony of the initiative was held at the Atlantis Hotel, and attended by a number of senior officials, ministry delegates and experts in the field of education and culture.
