Former deputy prime minister Yehia el Gamal passed away Monday at the age of 88 after a long battle with disease.
He was born in Menofia and got a license in law from Cairo University in 1952 then he was appointed assistant prosecutor in 1953.
El Gaml worked as a professor in Cairo University's Faculty of Law in 1964.
He hold posts of minister of cabinet affairs and administrative development in 1971, at the beginning of the era of late president Mohamed Anwar el Sadat.
The last post el Gaml assumed was following the January 25th, 2011 Revolution when he was appointed deputy premier.
He wrote many books such as "Constitutional System in Egypt", "Administrative Judiciary" and "Constitutional Judiciary".
