The Arab League Council at the permanent delegates level mourned on Saturday the death of former AL assistant secretary general for Palestinian and occupied Arab lands affairs Ambassador Said Kamal who passed away earlier in the day.
The conferees observed a minute of silence morning the death of Kamal.
The AL council meeting comes in preparation for the Arab summit slated for Wednesday.
Kamal was also in charge of the Palestinian file at the Afro-Asian Peoples' Solidarity Organization and was one of the founders of the Palestine Liberation Organization in 1964.
