The new OTT collection Dubai - Arabstoday OTT is making an “over the top” splash this season with vibrant designs that combine exquisitely crafted caftan silhouettes, Abayas and contemporary clothing with a modern flare. OTT’s new collection, now available at Bloomingdale’s-Dubai, includes a line of Abayas made exclusively for the retail giant. Created by an Emirati designer based in Dubai, OTT’s designs are inspired by his oriental roots, bringing a tongue-in-cheek Middle Eastern glamour to the limelight. Using his designs as canvases, the designer features vibrant, lively colours that vary between different pastel shades, dusty gold and a strong gradient of purples to exhibit the essence of the collection. The diverse pieces include animal print tops, mixed patterned pants and embellished dresses inspired by Frida Kahlo, an iconic Mexican painter well known for her uncompromising depiction of the female form. The exclusive Abayas include a rock-and-roll inspired gown with spiked studs and contrasting panel featuring a one-of-a-kind OTT chain print. For those in search of a more subtle look, other OTT Abayas highlight metallic bead work around the collar and neckline and colourful, detailed fabric, embodying grace and elegance.
