Al-Nour party wants 'political harmony'
Cairo - Akram Ali

Al-Nour party wants 'political harmony' Cairo - Akram Ali Former advisor of the Egyptian President, and Vice-President of Salafi Al-Nour Party, Dr Bassam Zarqa, said that the al-Nour party will not participate in the new cabinet reshuffle, despite being invited to participate. Zarqa described the reshuffle as “political tampering.” In an interview with Arabstoday, Zarqa said that the current government, led by Hesham Qandil, has failed and a cabinet reshuffle will be of “no use.” Zarqa added that Qandil should be replaced as prime minister as he has “not met the wishes of the Egyptian people.” He also pointed out that the cabinet reshuffle isn’t enough in such a “weak government,” claiming that that al-Nour party want change through constitutional declaration. He added: "We want a government which aims to achieve political harmony. We are working to stop the economic bleeding, and to ensure the integrity of the upcoming elections." Zarqa also explained that al-Nour has been in contact with some of the opposition parties and the government to end the ongoing Attorney-General political crisis. He called on interim Attorney-General, Talaat Abdullah to resign and for the Egyptian Supreme Council to help end the crisis As for the resignation of the President's advisor Mohamed Fouad Jadallah, Zarqa said the situation: "Describes the crisis in Egypt, which is the desire of the Muslim Brotherhood to control all aspects of the nation.” He called on President Mohammed Morsi to listen to the views of the national forces, saying that the “Jadallah resignation has revealed what is going on inside the presidential palace.” Zarqa resigned from his position as an advisor to the President last February, in protest against the “corruption” of the presidential palace.
