Rupert Murdoch Abu Dhabi – Jamal Al Majaida Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates and media mogul Rupert Murdoch will take part in the Abu Dhabi Media Summit 2012 activities, which will launch on Tuesday October 9. The three-day event will be held at the Yas Viceroy Hotel, in Yas Island. The Summit is organised under the theme “Redefining the digital frontier” and will focus on on digital media in emerging markets and on the technology that is creating new distribution channels, marketing opportunities and audiences. Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Media Summit Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak said: “The constant evolution and strengthening of the Summit mirrors the development of Abu Dhabi and the UAE as an important hub for the media industry. As in previous years, the 2012 Summit will create unique opportunities for insights for everyone attending. The 2012 event will also see an even greater emphasis on national talent through a series of master classes and workshops.” Among the prestigious guests will be Bill Gates, Rupert Murdoch, Eric Schmidt and James Cameron among many others. This year local and regional media production businessmen and specialists have an unprecedented opportunity to meet a group of the most prominent global entrepreneurs and investors in a series of work-shops, classes and specialised motivating discussions.
