Women already have representatives championing their case, but now the Swiss canton of Zurich wants to balance it out by appointing someone to deal specifically with male affairs. Markus Theunert, a 39-year-old psychologist and sociologist, will take up his official duties from July 1. Theunert, who has been vocal in asking for paternity leave, will be charged with helping young men who want to go into professions traditionally dominated by women. He will also help fellow males who have trouble balancing duties at work and home. Helena Trachsel, who is from Zurich's gender equality bureau, said the new post -- a first in Switzerland -- was created to keep it fair for both genders.
