The Iranian government will spend $80 million to rebuild houses for flood victims in the province of Sindh, media reported on Saturday. Daily ‘The News’, quoting National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Spokesman Irshad Bhatti, reported that Iranian delegation under MD Iranian Housing Society has reached Karachi for survey. He said that Iranian delegation has visited flood-affected area of Sindh for survey to make two-bed new houses with one kitchen and bath. He said Iranian delegation would start making houses after the completion of survey. Iranian government has announced the aid of $80 million to rebuild the houses for flood victims. Irshad Bhatti said that till now 2.1 million flood victims have been checked in the medical camps of the flood-affected area. To avoid any disease vaccination would be given to more than five million animals in flood-affected area of Sindh. Army engineering department and irrigation department of Sindh would start their operation to improve canals and drainage system of 23 flood affected districts, he said. Pakistan has been pounded by heavy monsoon rains which have caused massive floods in the province of Sindh. The floods have brought about massive damage to all infrastructures of the country. Pakistan has been severely affected by floods for the second consecutive year.
