At least 40 people were killed and scores wounded in Afghanistan today, when suicide bombers stormed a Shi‘ite cultural centre and the Afghan Voice News Agency in Kabul.
A spokesman from the Afghani Ministry of Interior said that most of the dead and injured included students who were attending a conference on the 38th anniversary of the Soviet Union invasion of Afghanistan, at the Tabian Social and Cultural Centre.
