London - Arab Today

QPR midfielder Adel Taarabt London - Arab Today Fulham manager Martin Jol on Monday revealed that QPR midfielder Adel Taarabt is set to join the Premier League club on loan. Taarabt had made it clear he wants to leave Loftus Road following QPR's relegation from the Premier League last season and Jol has made an approach for the Morocco international. Jol, speaking after Fulham's 1-1 friendly draw against Real Betis on Monday, revealed Taarabt is due to have a medical on Tuesday ahead of his proposed loan move. Taarabt first moved to England as a teenager when he signed for Jol during the Dutchman's reign at Tottenham. The 24-year-old has made more than 150 appearances for QPR since joining, initially on loan, from Tottenham in 2009 and was named the Championship's player of the year as he helped the Hoops win promotion in 2011. Taarabt was not named in QPR's squad for their victory over Sheffield Wednesday on the opening day of the Championship season on Saturday. He was sent home from the club's pre-season camp in Devon last month after turning up late for a training session. Source: AFP
