Moroccan footballer Marouane Chamakh Casablanca - Mohammed Khaled Crystal Palace want to sign Moroccan footballer Marouane Chamakh on loan. The Premier League new boys have reportedly opened talks with Arsenal about a season-long loan deal for the 29-year-old. Palace, managed by former Blackpool boss Ian Holloway, are looking to take advantage of Chamakh's deteriorating relationship with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. Chamakh has been left out of the North London club's pre-season of Asia, with Wenger make it clear that the former Bordeaux striker is surplus to requirements at the Emirates Stadium. A number of French and Spanish clubs have reportedly expressed an interest in Chamakh, who spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham.
