Coach of Moroccan national team Hervie Renard denied any differences with player Mahdy Bin Attiya , saying that he excluded him from the team’s list of players who will participate in the coming friendly matches against Burkina Faso and Tunisia upon his request.
He added that the Moroccan player called the coaching staff to provide him with the opportunity to restore his important role with Italian tam of Juventus, praising the performance of the player. He stressed that he is considered one of the major player in the Moroccan national team during the current period.
He refused the player’s decision of retirement, saying that he will work to convince him to retreat from this decision as his national team needs him. He added that the player’s decision has no relation with the increasing criticism against him in the Moroccan press due to his frustrating performance during the recent Africa Cup of Nations held in Gabon this year.
He added that he chose to play with both Burkina Faso and Tunisia for their good performance, saying that Burkina Faso managed to qualify for the semifinal of the recent Africa Cup of Nations held in Gabon, while Tunisians performance is similar to his team. He stressed the need for achieving positive results during the coming friendly matches to push the players forward during the coming matches.
He praised the performance of his team during the recent Africa Cup of Nations held in Gabon this year, saying that the team has not qualified for the quarterfinal for a long time. He blamed the bad luck for the defeat before the Egyptian national team, stressing that his team was better during the match.
