Egyptian footballer Salah Ashour expressed his confidence that his team Zamalek is able to return to competition in the current season of Egyptian Premier League, saying that although they lost over 12 points since the beginning of the season, the team has a great opportunity to compete for winning the championship.

He added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that he subjected to treatment sessions, saying that he was keen to attend the meeting of the club’s Chairperson Mortada Mansour with the players.

He denied what was published over his criticism to the team’s coach, saying that what was published in this regard are unfounded rumors. He expressed his frustration for not participating in the team’s latest match against Aswan in the framework of the Egyptian Premier League.

He blamed the coaching staff for not honoring their promises to provide him with an opportunity during the last matches of the season, saying that he was keen not to express his protest against the decision taken by the coach not to allow him participates with the team during the season.

The player revealed that he received a large number of offers from other teams to join them during the coming season, while he has not taken any decision whether to leave Zamalek or not, expressing his aspiration to find an opportunity to participate with the team to prove his talent.
