Al-Ahly striker Amr Gamal said he was delighted to continue to scoring goals for the second consecutive match with his team against El-Dakhlia, on Wednesday, in the round of 16 of Egypt’s Cup.
He added that he was just fortunate to score goals, and that he exerts more efforts on the pitch, whether in games or training, as well as works hard to earn the confidence of his teammates and the coaching staff.
In regard with wasting many chances in the last match, Gamal nicknamed "the deer", said: "I made one mistake in the match during the first half, but all other chances I had in the second half were passed to my colleagues, as they were in a better position than me, but they were not lucky enough.”
He explained that he like the team work on the pitch, and that's what led him to pass the ball in any occasions in front of the goal to his colleagues.
In regard with head coach Hossam Al-Badri, Gamal said: "I am very happy with gaining the confidence of Badri, and his patience to give me the chance to score again, and I hope to perform well in future periods, ad follow his instructions inside and outside the pitch."
He asserted that Al Ahly players focus now on their next match against South Africa’s Bedevst, especially as they are strong competitor, and has the ambition to go further in the African Champions League, noting that the South African teams play very well on their homeland, showing speed and strength.
