Ramallah - Arab Today

The three major dailies focused on the Israeli authorities’ declared plan to build a new settlement to the south of Nablus to accommodate 40 Jewish families.

They said the Israeli 'Defense’ Ministry, together with the settlement movement Amana, is planning a new settlement near Shiloh in the northern West Bank. The new construction is intended for the 40 families now living in the outpost of Amona, which is set to be evacuated by the end of the year.

Al-Ayyam and Al-Hayat Al-Jadida said Israeli fighter jets renewed their airstrikes on multiple locations across the Gaza strip, adding that Hamas delivered massages of 'calm’ to Israel.

Al-Quds and al-Hayat Al-Jadida reported that Rafael Ramirez, representative of Venezuela to the United Nations, sharply criticized Israel for its occupation of the Palestinian territories since 1967.

Al-Hayat Al-Jadida reported that Secretary General of the Executive Committee of PLO discussed with Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh the latest developments on the Palestinian and regional arenas.

Al-Ayyam reported that the expected Quartet report will harshly criticize Israel for its increasing settlement activities.

Al-Ayyam quoted Israeli 'Defense’ Minister Moshe Ya’alon, who said “Israel will continue searching tunnels, without any confrontation with Hamas.
