Israeli soldiers invaded Wednesday the northern West Bank district of Nablus, searched many homes and detained four Palestinians, in addition to two Palestinians from their work in Jerusalem.
The Nablus office of the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) reported that the soldiers invaded the Old Askar refugee camp, the Public Housing area and Beit Forik town, and arrested four Palestinians.
In addition, the Israeli police arrested two Palestinians while in their work in Jerusalem, allegedly for "entering Israel without permits".
The two arrested workers are from Beit Forik town, southwest of Nablus.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces on Wednesday notified Palestinians in the village of al-Walajeh, to the west of Bethlehem, about their intention to demolish eight homes and to stop the construction of a ninth one, according to local sources.
Palestine's (WAFA) News Agency said that an Israeli military force broke into the village, and handed notifications to eight local Palestinians informing them that their homes will be demolished, under the pretext of construction without an Israeli permit.
The village is located in Area C of the West Bank, under complete Israeli military control. Israel rarely issues construction permits to Palestinians in area C, forcing many to embark on construction without obtaining a permit.
