Kuwait continues to moving forward with its developmental projects according to their set timeframe and within their technical specifications, Minister of Public Works and Minister of Electricity and Water Abdulaziz Al-Ibrahim said here Monday.
Al-Ibrahim made this remark in his opening speech at the second engineering forum, organized by the Kuwait Society of Engineers. The event was opened by the Minister of behalf of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Al-Ibrahim pointed out that in order to accomplish developmental projects effectively, human resources should be nurtured and developed accordingly.
He added that there are two projects that are still undergoing: the completion of Jamal Abul-Nasser Street and Jahra Road toward Doha City; these projects will be finished by 2017.
On his part, Secretary General of the forum Eng. Hussam Al-Kharafi said, in his speech, that the forum will focus on encouraging the government to take engineers under its wings by allowing engineering offices to become fully-fledged professional firms.
He added that the three-day forum will discuss: housing, disguised unemployment and engineers rights.
