Algiers - Arab Today

President of the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACI) Mohamed El Aid Benamor said Sunday, in Algiers, that Algeria is interested in diversifying its economic partnership with Mexico through the creation of joint companies so as to the bilateral economic relations be not limited to their purely commercial characteristic.
During an Algerian-Mexican business meeting, Benamor said that the economic relations between the two countries are “weak” and are limited to trading, which requires their extension and their transformation into industrial partnership projects according to the win-win principle.
The companies of both countries are moving towards investment in the industrial sector which will allow Algeria to raise the value of non-hydrocarbon exports and to create wealth and new jobs, added the CACI president.
“Algeria wants to create a partnership with the Mexican companies in the sector of industry and tourism that represent a market of more than USD 2 billion,” he said about it.
The Algerian and Mexican companies are examining a certain number of partnership projects particularly in agriculture, construction materials, manufacturing of spare parts and energy, according to Benamor who added that the chamber of commerce plans to send Algerian businessmen to Mexico to conclude joint projects.
