Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri said on Tuesday that U.S. President Barack Obama did not ask President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to release detained foreign journalists in Egypt.
The foreign minister made the remarks Tuesday during a meeting organized by Canada-Egypt Business Council (CEBC).
"We will not allow anybody to interfere in Egypt's internal affairs," he said.
