Cairo - Taha Hafez

Lebanese musician and actress Carole Samaha says her career has reached new heights following her appearance on the judging panel of X Factor Arabia. Samaha’s latest album, Ehssas, has become a best seller throughout the region. Speaking exclusively to Arabstoday, the performer said: "After the X Factor, my artistic success has soared. I was thrilled when Ehssas topped the charts in most Arab countries." "Everyone who participated in producing the album made a fabulous effort. Without their loyalty, I would never have made it so big," she added. Samaha explained her varied creative process: "I always strive to introduce something new, so it is difficult to find similarities between the lyrics, composition and distribution of my different albums.” The Lebanese superstar claimed that her latest album was inspired by her romantic relationships. "On Ehssas, I emphasised women’s feelings. I wrote two songs for the album, Mosh Tayaak and Hakhonak, in which I shared my life experiences. Hakhonak was about the anger within me," she explained. The singer also offered insight into her recent foray into television. "I participated in the X Factor programme to highlight an aspect of my personality that fans had not yet seen, as they are used to seeing me acting in front of a camera." Samaha says her performance at the UNESCO palace in Paris earlier this year was the highlight of her career thus far. She added that her upcoming musical, The Lady, will bring her even closer to fulfilling her wildest dreams. The show will premiere at Casino du Liban, Maameltein, Lebanon, on Eid al-Fitr this August, before touring Middle Eastern and European capitals.
