Sheikh Nasser's donation to support ministry's strategy

Minister of Health Dr. Sadiq bin Abdulkarim Al Shehabi praised the directives of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to allocate the proceeds of the "Challenge Bahrain" triathlon championship for the benefit of cancer and diabetes patients in the kingdom.
Dr. Al Shehabi stressed that Shaikh Nasser’s directives contribute to strengthening the principles of sport and its relations with charity and humanitarian matters, which corresponds to Bahrain’s leadership direction in supporting charitable and humanitarian initiatives while continually communicating them across different sectors.
The Minister of Health stressed that the allocation of "Challenge Bahrain" proceeds to diabetes and cancer patients confirms the interest of Shaikh Nasser to provide medical and therapeutic services for those in these two categories, and to help relieve their pain, as well as to achieve maximum synergy and interdependence between Bahraini society.
He added that this allocation will contribute to the support of the ministry and orientation of its strategy to provide medical services and quality health and medical care for all those suffering, as well as providing the latest treatment.
The Minister of Health stressed that the "Challenge Bahrain" triathlon championship achieved its noble and humanitarian goals and objectives, and noted that organising such a global sport event for humanitarian and charitable objectives reflects the important of unity and solidarity with the patients.
Dr. Al Shehabi pointed out that the directives of the leadership and great interest to embody the spirit of cooperation and partnership with the people of Bahrain surpasses their suffering and overcomes the difficulties they are going through.
He stressed that the allocation of the race proceeds by Shaikh Nasser for the patients is only the embodiment of the wise leadership’s vision and its leading role in supporting humanitarian initiatives and strengthening the role of Bahrain.
