Kuwait and Senegal are cooperating on establishing a cancer center for children in Dakar, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Senegal Mohammad Fadhel Khalaf revealed on Saturday.
"Kuwait and Senegal are consulting over preparing a study aimed at setting up a cancer center in Senegal to be similar to "Beit Abduallah" in Kuwait which provides care to children with chronic diseases here," a statement by the Embassy, received by KUNA, quoted Khalaf as saying.
"Kuwait spares no effort to alleviate sufferings of children who have such diseases in the framework of its aid," the statement added, referring to the UN naming of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as a "humanitarian leader" and Kuwait as a "humanitarian center." Bait Abdullah" center gives full care to children diagnosed with cancer and have no hope of being cured.
The center supports the families of the cancer-stricken children with substitute homes, as well as personal escorts in order to accommodate them with an intimate atmosphere.
It aims to alleviate the pain and suffering of children by supplying all sorts of amusements and joy for those children.
