The Vice President of the Republic, Hassabou Mohamed Abdul Rahaman, on Sunday headed the meeting of the committee assigned to discuss the human rights report in the Sudan
The Minister for Justice, Dr Idris Ibrahim Jameel, pointed out in statements following the said meeting at the Republican Palace that they discussed ways to further promote the human rights in the Sudan and to underlined the special arrangement taken on submission of voluntary report by the competent authorities in the Sudan as well as the mechanism for promotion of human rights in the country.
He said the vice president has also directed that the concerned bodies should look into the human rights agreements that the Sudan has not signed and to see to it that the country has signed these relevant agreements and accords.
