Ghazi Abdullah Salem Al Mehri, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Ethiopia and UAE Permanent Representative to the African Union, met yesterday with Moussa Faki Mahamat, the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, at the AU's headquarters in Addis Ababa.
Al Mehri and Mahamat discussed ways to enhance ties between the African Union and the UAE in various fields as well as ways to boost cooperation between the two sides.
The African Union Commission Chair welcomed the UAE diplomat, emphasising the union's desire to develop relations with the UAE further.
Al Mehri said that relations between the UAE and the African Union have witnessed significant developments, and have strong foundations for future progress and prosperity.
