Syria’s main opposition body has on Thursday started a two-day meeting in Cairo for talks on its new political vision to handle the Syrian crisis. The Syrian National Coalition for Revolutionary and Opposition Forces will discuss behind closed doors the recent initiative by the coalition’s head Moaz al-Khatib for dialogue with the Syrian regime. The meeting also reviews the possibility of forming a transitional government and Arab and international diplomatic efforts to reach a settlement for the nearly two-year conflict in order to stop the bloodshed and end the killings. An announcement on the outcome of the meeting is set to be made Friday evening.
