Following directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Honourary President of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO), Chairman of the Board of Trustees of RCO Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who was accompanied by the Special Advisor to the Jordanian Monarch Prince Talal bin Mohammed, opened, at Al-Zaatari Camp, the Bahrain Scientific Complex designated for the brotherly Syrian refugees. Upon arrival, Shaikh Nasser was welcomed by the Chairman and members of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) and the UNICEF Representative in Jordan Dominique Isabelle Hyde. Then, Shaikh Nasser cut the ribbons, declaring the official opening of the Bahrain Scientific Complex, which is one of the main educational monuments providing vital services for the children of Syrian refugees in Al-Zaatari Camp. After that, RCO Secretary-General, JHCO Secretary-General, UNICEF Representative in Jordan and representative of the Jordanian Education Ministry delivered welcoming statements. Then, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad toured the scientific complex and was informed about the educational process and the conditions of the students who welcomed him warmly and expressed heartfelt thanks to the Kingdom of Bahrain for its constant support for Syrian refugees. Shaikh Nasser wished them every success in their academic studies. The 80000-foot Bahrain Scientific Complex is the first educational project and among the most vital ones implemented for the brotherly Syrian refugees. It consists of four primary and intermediate schools, with all scientific and educational facilities and can accommodate up to 4000 students. It includes over 70 facilities, including classrooms, scientific labs, sports fields and offices for the educational and administrative staff.
